Laurent Blanc has confirmed “I will not be the next Coach of Roma, even if I had talks with the club.”
The former France manager had been on the verge of signing a two-year contract when negotiations suddenly collapsed.
“I am very eager to get back to work, although I still don’t know where that will be,” Blanc told La Provence.
“The only certainty is that I will not be the next Coach of Roma, even if I had talks with the club.

“Real Sociedad? I was never even in contact with that club.”
It had become clear over the past few days that Blanc was not the man the Giallorossi were looking for.
The list of candidates has now been whittled down to three names: ex-Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa, current Lille Coach Rudi Garcia and Newell’s Old Boys manager Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino.
