Yann Aurel Bisseck feels his debut season at Inter was ‘better than most people expected’ but insists players are not thinking about the points record: ‘We just want to win every game.’

Bissesk spoke to DAZN following Inter’s 5-0 win over Frosinone on Friday.

“We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game, and maybe, in the last weeks, we weren’t as strong as people knew us this season, but I think we played a good game. They played a good game, too, but the team with more quality won,” said the German defender.

What has he learned in his first season at the Meazza?

“I remember my first weeks here. It was tough to learn the tactics and everything,” he said.

“As a defender, it’s a big, big learning experience in Italy, and I think I’ve had a good time here—maybe better than most people expected. So I am just happy with the way I can contribute to the team, and I am always happy when the coach gives me the chance to play.”

Inter will settle a new record of points in a single season if they win the next two league games, reaching 98 points. Does this give the team more motivation?

“I am the wrong person to ask, you have to ask the coach,” Bisseck replied.

“As players, we just want to win every game. If we have a record in the end it’s nice but I wouldn’t say it is the main focus, we just go game by game and we just want to win every game.”

Inter became Serie A champions for the 20th time on April 22 after beating their city rivals Milan in a derby della Madonnina.
