Cristiano Biraghi has agreed a new contract with Fiorentina to June 2024 after returning from his Inter loan spell.

The 28-year-old wore the Nerazzurri jersey last season, contributing three goals and seven assists in 37 competitive appearances.

He was recalled to base by coach Beppe Iachini and convinced to sign an extension to the contract that currently expires in June 2022.

The new deal comes with benefits, as Biraghi increases his salary, although nowhere near the figure he would’ve earned had he made his Inter move permanent.

Biraghi had joined Inter on loan in exchange for Henrique Dalbert going to the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

However, neither of the options to buy were activated at the end of the season.
