Inter are reportedly keeping a close eye on Udinese defender Jaka Bijol as they look to set up a future deal for the Slovenia centre back.

The Nerazzurri have a number of priorities in the upcoming summer transfer window, including a new goalkeeper, a striker and some reinforcements in midfield, but the club’s management consider their defence to be mostly complete.

Regardless, Inter are keeping tabs on a number of players who could grow into important targets for the future and one of these is Bijol, who is currently away at the European Championship with Slovenia, where he’s impressed in the group stage.

Inter planning Bijol deal

Corriere dello Sport details how Inter believe Bijol could be a strong addition to Simone Inzaghi’s squad next year and have already been in contact with his entourage to discuss their plans. Whilst there’s no space for the 25-year-old now, things could change should a defender leave in the coming months.

The Nerazzurri have also contacted Udinese and the working plan for now is to keep a close eye on the Slovenian centre back and possibly look to finalise the details of a transfer in January next year.
