Lucas Biglia’s agent has confirmed that he will hold talks with Milan over the midfielder’s future this week, even if ‘the priority remains’ the Rossoneri.

Biglia has been linked with moves to Argentina, France and China in recent weeks, but Enzo Montepaone assured his client’s preference was to stay at Milan.

“I’ll arrive in Italy on Wednesday to talk to Milan,” the representative told Calciomercato.com.

“Lucas has rather clear ideas: he wants to stay at Milan. But we also need to understand what the club’s intentions are, which is why I’ll be coming to Italy soon.

“Boca Juniors are a very important club who have my and Lucas’ respect, but it’s not the right time to go back to Argentina.

“I can’t confirm interest from any clubs right now. There are other situations at stake, like a possible renewal. The priority remains Milan.

“Hebei’s interest came over a year ago. A lot of things can happen, but he wants to make history with Milan.

Montepaone was then asked about the 33-year-old’s relationship with Franck Kessie after their feud last month.

“They cleared the air immediately, there’s no problem,” he added.

“Lucas is someone who pulls a group together. He wants harmony and the best for his team.

“Like Gattuso said, for him the dressing room is like a church.”
