Lucas Biglia admits he 'left Milan in tears' and says insults from Lazio fans hurt him.

The Argentinean playmaker left the Rossoneri last summer after three years at the club.

"Bennacer played on a regular basis last season, it was Pioli's choice and I had no problems with that," Biglia told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"When I left Milan, I was in tears," he added.

He had joined the Rossoneri from Lazio in the summer of 2017.

He had joined the Rossoneri from Lazio in the summer of 2017.

"I didn't deserve the insults and criticism from Lazio fans before I left the club. They hurt me because I always behaved correctly," Biglia said.

"One day, Tare came to watch me in Belgium and he told me I would become Lazio's regista one day.

"I had turned down an offer from a top European club before I joined Milan, I can't say which one but I didn't deserve to be called mercenary.

"My contract extension with Lazio was the longer one in the club's history. Then I chose Milan because I wanted a new challenge. What's the problem?"
