Lucas Biglia said Lazio proved themselves by beating Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter-final even with 10 men.

Biglia had converted a penalty and Lorik Cana was sent off on the stroke of half-time, but the Biancocelesti held out at San Siro for the 1-0 result.

“The team showed it was strong, above all a man down,” the midfielder told Rai Sport.

“I am happy, but as we said at the weekend we wanted to continue this great form.

Lazio will now face either Napoli or Inter in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.
