According to Tuttosport, the Argentine midfielder has already been discussed as a potential January aquisition by the Nerazzurri management team.

The 30-year-old currently earns €1.4m per season and has a contract until 2018 at Lazio, and with contract talks stalling, Inter could be ready to pounce.

The former Anderlecht player is reportedly asking for a salary increase of up to €3m, but has struggled to get going in the current campaign after missing eight games with a calf injury.
