Lazio captain Lucas Biglia hopes to beat Inter and expresses solidarity with the angry fans.

It is a difficult moment for the Biancocelesti as they sit twelfth in the standings, while their supporters abandoned the Curva Nord over the new stadium security measures set in place in Rome.

“We deserve to make it out of this moment because we give our all on the pitch,” Biglia told Lazio Style Channel during the club's Christmas dinner. “We're doing well in Europe and we qualified for the next round.

“We should close the year with three points in Milan and we have the quality to do that.

“We took some tough blows, like crashing out of the Champions League, and the rift in the curva that drove supporters away from the stadium.

“I understand them, it's as though someone came into our changing rooms and placed something we didn't want there. We'd be angry.

“That's what happened with them, but we must bring them back to the stadium. We need their support, they're the ones who show us warmth in the stadium, they're our twelfth man.

“As a team we stand close to them and we understand we're not giving them the satisfaction they want.

“Give us some time and last season's Lazio will be back. We're a compact group and we just want results like last year's.”

Biglia has been seen crying at the end of Lazio's games on more than one occasion.

“It isn't always easy to come off the pitch with a smile. We suffer more often than we have fun. Those who say they have fun on the pitch are lying.

“We want to make it to the top of the standings and take Lazio in Europe.”
