Lucas Biglia has returned to training with Lazio after his injury, while Antonio Candreva and Alessandro Matri are close to returns.

Club doctor Stefano Salvatori also revealed today that he expects Miroslav Klose and Stefan De Vrij to be available again after the net international break in October.

"Today is Biglia’s first day training with the group again,” Salvatori said to Lazio Style Radio.

“We are happy, it was an objective that we had set ourselves, but that wasn’t taken for granted. We hope that his work in the next few days is comforting.

“Matri? He showed fatigue in his thigh muscles due to overuse.

“He couldn’t be available yesterday against Genoa as there was a risk of making the situation worse or perhaps causing a strain.

“The athlete is not at 100 per cent but we will monitor the situation. He’s not currently available to the Coach.

“Djordjevic reacted very well, we are happy that his recovery went well beyond our expectations.

“Klose will most likely return after the international break, as well as De Vrij.

“Antonio Candreva is working very well and we’re trying to decrease the recovery time. There are a few stages that must be respected, but he’s way ahead with the procedure.

“We’re looking to have him available for the Europa League match with Saint-Etienne. On Monday, three days before the match, we can be clearer.”
