Marcelo Bielsa and Leonardo Jardim have emerged as possible Roma Coaches, joining Gian Piero Gasperini, Marco Giampaolo and Maurizio Sarri.

The club fired Eusebio Di Francesco and drafted in Claudio Ranieri as a caretaker manager until the end of the season.

With director of sport Monchi also departing by mutual consent, President James Pallotta has taken over the task of finding a new tactician for next season.

Names mentioned so far have been Atalanta boss Gasperini, Giampaolo of Sampdoria and Chelsea’s under-fire Sarri.

Today, La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Messaggero newspapers point to some more exotic names, including current Leeds United manager Bielsa.

It would be a rather strange choice for a number of reasons, above all that Bielsa had signed for Roma’s arch rivals Lazio a couple of years ago only to then change his mind and refuse to turn up to pre-season training two days later.

Another candidate is Jardim, who just recently returned to the Monaco bench after he was fired to make way for Thierry Henry in October.
