Roberto Gagliardini will leave Inter when his contract expires in the summer and Nottingham Forest are still keen on the midfielder, who could end up remaining in Serie A.

The 28-year-old Italian has struggled for consistent minutes under Simone Inzaghi this season, seeing just 388 minutes of action across 10 Serie A appearances.

After the 1-0 win over Hellas Verona in January, when he played the entire 90 minutes, he complained about his lack of playing time and noted that he’ll consider his options when his contract expires in June.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Nottingham Forest were serious about Gagliardini in the January transfer window but failed to get a deal across the line, leaving the Italian in Milan.

The Premier League side are hoping to snap up the 28-year-old on a free transfer in the summer, but the player isn’t entirely convinced about the idea and is waiting for offers from Serie A clubs.

With less than five months left on his contract with the Nerazzurri, Gagliardini’s future is still shrouded in doubt.
