Fans and pundits were left stunned by an ‘unreal’ Hakan Calhanoglu cross-field pass in Inter’s 1-0 win over Juventus on Sunday.
The Turkey international has been praised by fans and media following his MOTM performance in Inter’s 1-0 victory over Juventus on Sunday.
Calhanoglu had 94% passing accuracy but the highlight of his game was a stunning cross-field pass in the first half that nearly set up Federico Dimarco and Marcus Thuram for Inter’s opener.
Only a perfectly-timed Gleison Bremer tackle prevented Thuram from scoring.
Fans and pundits reacted to Calhanoglu’s superb pass on X, formerly Twitter, but Simone Inzaghi also praised his midfield star during a post-match press conference attended by Football Italia on Sunday.
The Italian tactician said that the ex-Milan midfielder is one of the best deep-lying playmakers in the world.
Calhanoglu, 29, has 11 goals and three assists in 27 appearances across all competitions with Inter so far this season; his contract expires in June 2027.
