Turkish side Besiktas have reportedly turned their focus back to Milan’s Robinho, after being thwarted in a move for compatriot Ronaldinho.
A move to Istanbul seemed almost certain for Atletico Mineiro’s 33-year-old, as talks had been ongoing over a transfer, but the Brazil international ultimately opted to sign a new contract with his current employers, effectively ruling out the switch to Turkey.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Turkish giants are angry at the manner in which the deal concluded, but are now focusing on Robinho as their plan B for January.
The former Real Madrid attacker was already close to leaving Milanello during the summer when his old side Santos showed a keen interest, and his future at the club is said to be linked to that of Alessandro Matri, who is rumoured to be surplus to requirements at Milan.
