La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Besiktas want to make a move for Ante Rebic this summer but are concerned about the Milan forward’s salary.

The 29-year-old Croatian forward did not play a leading role in Stefano Pioli’s squad this season, seeing just 974 minutes of Serie A action across 23 appearances. He struggled to impress in this time, scoring three goals and providing two assists, proving an oft-frustrating figure.

Milan are looking to lighten their wage bill this summer and have decided to try and shift Rebic, putting him on the transfer list. A number of clubs have emerged with interest in the 29-year-old, with one in particular hoping to sign him.

Page seven of today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights how Besiktas want to sign Rebic this summer but are concerned about his €3.5m net per season salary, something that is holding up talks with Milan.

The Turkish side would be willing to pick him up on loan for the same amount as his salary, but a definitive transfer would require the 29-year-old to lower his wages.
