Besiktas are reportedly threatening to take Fiorentina to FIFA after being short-changed in Mario Gomez’s sale to Wolfsburg.

According to Haberler, Besiktas only received €1.1m from Fiorentina for Gomez, despite the Viola pocketing €7m from the striker’s move.

Although Gomez only signed on a season-long loan last year, Besiktas President Fikret Orhan claims his club were entitled to 50 percent of the Germans’ next transfer.

According to Haberler, Besiktas only received €1.1m from Fiorentina for Gomez, despite the Viola pocketing €7m from the striker’s move.

Although Gomez only signed on a season-long loan last year, Besiktas President Fikret Orhan claims his club were entitled to 50 percent of the Germans’ next transfer.

Gomez scored 26 Super Lig goals for the Istanbul giants in 2015-16 as they won the Turkish title, but he opted against making his loan permanent due to political instability in the country stemming from a failed coup.
