Andrea Bertolacci says he has “great desire for revenge” after joining Sampdoria and linking up with Claudio Ranieri.
Bertolacci’s career has hit a brick wall after four underwhelming years at Milan, but the midfielder is ready to bounce back with Samp and Ranieri, the latter of whom wanted him at Fulham last season.
“We know it’ll be a very difficult game, but we’re ready and we’re preparing for it in the best way,” he told Sky Sport Italia, previewing Sunday’s visit of Roma in Serie A.

“It’s true that he wanted me at Fulham: there was the possibility in January but it didn’t go through.
“Now, after a difficult year, I have a great desire for revenge.”
