Marcus Thuram fired the Nerazzurri into an early lead, before Riccardo Orsolini’s equaliser from the penalty spot within the first 35 minutes.
Shortly afterwards, Bernardeschi fell awkwardly on his shoulder after challenging the ball gestured for the medical staff to come on urgently. Orsolini could be heard shouting to the dugout that Bernardeschi had fractured his shoulder.
He was later able to walk off the pitch, clutching his left collarbone rather than his shoulder. Initial reports suggest that he might have fractured the clavicle. He was replaced by Jonathan Rowe in the 40th minute.
