Bernardeschi won’t renew Juventus contract, will leave in summer

Federico Bernardeschi will leave Juventus at the end of the season when his contract runs out, sources have confirmed to Football Italia.

The Italy winger had hoped to prolong his deal with the Coppa Italia finalists but has been told he is not part of the project and will become a free agent from June 30.

A source told Football Italia that, after lengthy discussions the player and club reached the mutual agreement that it was best to go their separate ways.

Tuscan-born Bernardeschi was a target for a host of top clubs in Europe when he burst onto the scene at Fiorentina and was handed the prestigious No. 10 shirt worn by Roberto Baggio.

However, in 2017 he opted to move to Juve in deal worth €40 million and won a Serie A title and the Coppa Italia – Juve’s fourth-consecutive Double.

Bernardeschi went on to win another two league titles and on more Coppa Italia while he was also a member of Italy’s triumphant Euro 2020 squad.

In total, he has made 182 appearances for the Bianconeri, scoring 12 goals.

  1. Hardtruth

It just didn’t work at Juve. Finally this saga is over

  2. Gamal

    Thank goodness!

  3. Sgotto

Good for you Bernadeschi, Go to a place where you can get some playing time. He has always had the potential, but Juve ruined him.

Grazie di tutto e buona fortuna BERNA.
Non date retta ai quaquaraqua che fanno finta di essere VERI tifosi JUVENTINI.

  5. Dino

Sgotto. Yes he has the potential to play for a good team but not for a top team.

  6. Bruno

If he can rediscover the promise he showed at Fiorentina, he could be a terrific signing.

  7. purple_iain

A big money move to Southampton or Aston Villa awaits.

  8. dave

He belongs at a mid level club where he can start every week and Mancini can continue his hard on for him and keep picking him for Italy

  9. Andy

His performance in the last two seasons is a freefall. He never changes his predicable playing style. Receiving the ball from the flank, cutting inside and shoot at will.
Pretty slow and terrible dribbling skill. He lost confidence and macho.
He doesn’t deserve a new contract.

  10. Debu

Finally, Allegri has been given full power to choose player based on his tactic. Player like Costa and Bernardeschi, they are never on his plan. It’s Marotta’s genius work after dismantling the midfield with happy smile.

  11. putuco

Awful player from his days at Fiorentina. Never knew wtf Juventus saw on him to pay 40m. Salernitana or Benevento are clubs for the quality of this guy

  12. Debu

That Allegri is pure gold and I cannot wait for next season. This term I saved all of my pre Cum as there was nothing to cheer. But luckily I have stocked piled it all and ready to masturBate and let it all out for the greatest coach to have ever graced a touchline.

Godspeed Berna and thanks for your time at Juve!

Now, let us focus onnreal wingers/crossers like Chiesa and who can provide goal opportunities to Vlahovic (Moussa Diaby and Heug Min Son)!

  14. nico

Juve utility man. Left back, left wing, right wing, false 9..too bad. Had one superb games vs athletico few years back alongside Ronaldo. Other than that pretty disappointing considering his potential. Pretty good last game vs Lazio. Not sure why always play safe. Hope he says in serie a with likes of Verona, Torino where he probably have more freedom to show his real talent
