The Bianconeri hold a slender advantage going into next week’s Champions League quarter-final second leg in Turin, having bagged an away goal on Wednesday, but Bernardeschi alluded to mixed feelings after the game.

“We could’ve done more, but it’s a good result,” the winger told Juventus TV.

“The team had a good game. We’re confident about the second leg, even if it won’t be easy.

“We expected them to be aggressive. We knew how they played, so we expected the game to go how it did.

“We knew we had to suffer a bit, but we defended very well. It’s a shame about the goal we conceded at the start of the second half.

“We knew we could’ve won it in the last few minutes, but the chance for us to do so didn’t come. It went the way it did.”
