Juventus have been docked 15 points and their former winger Federico Bernardeschi hopes they won’t have their Serie A titles revoked after a second investigation looking into the club’s finances.

The Bianconeri have been hit by a 15-point deduction for having artificially inflated transfer values and although they will appeal against the decision, there is a second investigation ongoing looking into the so-called ‘salary manoeuvre.’

The Bianconeri are accused of having paid three months’ salary under the table after the peak of the COVID pandemic.

Bernardeschi, who left Juventus for Toronto FC at the end of his contract in June 2022, released an interview with Il Mattino, sharing his thoughts on the matter.

“I don’t know what will happen, I hope the Scudetto titles we won won’t be revoked,” he said.

“It would be a big injustice as the team’s results go beyond the club’s finances.”

The Italy international also offered his view on the current Serie A campaign which sees Napoli firmly on top of the table with a 13-point lead over second-placed Inter.

“It’s not a coincidence, the club has a long-term plan and they’ve been building teams to compete for the title for five or six years,” he said.

“They have a winning view and they deserve what they are getting. Kvaratskhelia is one of the best talents in Europe and I think the Azzurri can get satisfaction this season. I see a lot of chaos from here, but I understand Milan and Inter. It’s not easy to chase a team that never loses a game.

“I see a sort of psychological block that I also noticed when I was at Juventus. Sometimes opponents would face you already knowing they’d lose and I think the same is happening with Napoli this season.”

Bernardeschi spent five years at Juventus, scoring 12 goals in 183 appearances and winning three Serie A titles.
