President Silvio Berlusconi is “happy” Mattia Destro arrived and wants “a young Italian Milan, preferably from our academy.”
The patron made his now traditional Friday afternoon visit via helicopter to the Milanello training ground, where he spoke to the squad and Coach Pippo Inzaghi.
“Italian, young, preferably internationals and preferably from our academy. That’s the Milan I want,” Berlusconi told Milan Channel.
“It requires a bit of patience.”

He then complimented Cristian Zaccardo, who hadn’t played a single game this season before coming in and scoring against Parma during an injury crisis.
“You did great things against Parma, then the penalty and the goal. You didn’t get a pass wrong. Well done.
“Destro, I am very happy that you are here. Welcome Bocchetti and Paletta, you have honest faces. It’s good to see the new buys are all Italian, or have Italian passports and have South American roots.
“I think we used the January transfer window well to reinforce the squad.”
