“I think the same way as all the other Rossoneri fans,” smiled daughter Barbara Berlusconi.
“It’s wonderful news and exactly what all the fans were hoping for.”
In recent months Barbara joined the Board of Directors and was reportedly being groomed for the role of President in the future.
It could raise further questions over conflict of interests, as she is currently dating Milan striker Alexandre Pato.
She also made an appeal for Serie A to tone down the bitterness that is too often a part of debate around football.
“This is sport and must be more relaxed. You should put on your team shirt and scarf, then go to the stadium as if it’s a party, even if your side loses.”
