Silvio Berlusconi will reportedly intervene in Milan’s negotiations to end Clarence Seedorf’s spell as Coach.

The club are seen to have selected Pippo Inzaghi as their new tactician from this summer, but have delayed announcing as much out of a believed desire to negotiate Seedorf’s exit first.

With two years remaining on his contract, the 38-year-old and his representatives are understood to be holding out for as close to full payment of the €10m gross wages due as possible.

The Corriere dello Sport report that, with a visit to new club headquarters Casa Milan due at the end of this week, where he harbours an ambition to unveil Inzaghi as Coach, President Silvio Berlusconi will intervene in talks with Seedorf in a bid to finalise them in time.

The capital-based publication indicate that such a move may be enough to end the situation favourably and see Milan pick up a reduction in the compensation payment to Seedorf and qualify for a tax break.
