There has been increasing speculation in recent weeks that the Rossoneri are close to agreeing a deal for new investment, with the Thai property tycoon seemingly in pole position.

This morning’s Tuttosport reports that, contrary to previous belief, Milan’s President Silvio Berlusconi is willing to part with up to 40 per cent of his shares.

The source is a brochure presented by the bank Lazard to investors around the world, particularly in the US, the UAE and China.

The figure is important, because a shareholder controlling less than 30 per cent has little influence in the boardroom, an example being Inter’s Massimo Moratti, who retains a figure around that mark, but has no actual decision making power.

One of the decisions Taechaubol would make, Tuttosport believes, is to bring back Clarence Seedorf for a role at the club.

The Dutchman was sacked as Diavolo Coach this summer, being replaced by Pippo Inzaghi, and it’s not thought that a return to the bench is planned.

That is because Taechaubol has installed Fiorentina Coach Vincenzo Montella as his number one target should he be successful in taking over a stake at the club, though the Viola man would cost at least €6m.
