Milan President Silvio Berlusconi is now reportedly prepared to only sell up to 35 per cent of the club to Chinese investors.

The 78-year-old patron had originally considered selling the majority share, then noted after talks with Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol that he’d keep at least 51 per cent.

Today La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Berlusconi has further strengthened his grip on the Rossoneri, parting with at most 35 per cent of the shares.

“My concern is only to do what is best for Milan and the Milan fans,” he told TeleNorba.

It’s believed new investors will be asked to put €200m to €250m into the club coffers to boost the transfer capabilities.

‘Mr Bee’ Taechaubol has seemingly been dropped, so negotiations continue with Richard Lee and directly with the Chinese Head of State Xi Jinping.

Berlusconi is determined to remain as President with Adriano Galliani as CEO and Barbara Berlusconi in charge of marketing.
