Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has revealed that there are actually three Chinese groups interested in buying his club.

Speaking to Primocanale, the President announced new interest in the club as well as seeking to reassure sceptical Rossoneri supporters.

“In China there are tens of thousands of Milan supporters,” Berlusconi has commented, as picked up by the media today.

“It wasn’t by chance that today three groups from China have come in and two of them are announcing themselves.

“A family like mine, even though it’s entrepreneurial and industrious, cannot bear such a heavy weight.

“It's important to look for someone who wants to insert new resources that can allow us to go for the top players again.

“To all these people I ask if they want to make profit for themselves due to the popularity of Milan, or if they really intend to make Milan the greatest team in the world.

“To the fans I say this – I am proceeding with prudence and wisdom and I will only leave Milan when I am certain of putting it in good hands.”
