Silvio Berlusconi celebrated 30 years as Milan President, sets a Bee Taechaubol deadline and wants an “all-Italian team.”
The patron spoke to Sky Sport Italia and also held a Press conference when he visited the Milanello training ground this afternoon.
“I hope to soon complete the deal with Mr Bee, a profile I liked from the very first moment. He and his associates presented an interesting plan for the commercialisation of the Milan brand in China and the rest of Asia.
“Considering Milan have 243 million fans in China, we would’ve been getting an extra €100m revenue per year, a real blessing for our coffers that would’ve allowed us to become competitive again on an international level.
“Unfortunately, there was a collapse of the Chinese stock exchange and Mr Bee’s associates pulled out. Now he is seeking new associates ready to finance his project.
“I gave him an ultimatum that expires at the end of the season.”
Berlusconi also commented on his plans on a sporting level.
“Milan right now have the opportunity to field only Italians in defence. We have Gigio Donnarumma, three Italian full-backs and even Davide Calabria has been called up for the Under-21 side.
“In midfield we have Andrea Poli, Riccardo Montolivo and Jack Bonaventura, who I see doing well behind the strikers.
“It is my dream to see an all-Italian Milan. Unfortunately there are problems because with the amount of foreign players in football now, it’d be difficult to make happen.”
