Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has made clear his optimism at the club’s start to the season, declaring: “The atmosphere has changed.”

Meeting his team this afternoon in what director Adriano Galliani claims will be a ‘regular Friday visit’, he had only good things to say.

“The atmosphere has changed,” Berlusconi declared under the cameras of Milan Channel.

Joining his team over lunch, he stated: “Your beautiful victory on the first day of Serie A was sufficient to return us our hunger, and to awaken the Milan supporters from the negative torpor that they'd fallen into last year.

“I've been receiving more than a hundred messages expressing satisfaction at the team and the mercato.

“I think it's reasonable to say that we're on the right track, and that all we have to do is persevere upon it.”
