The choreography organised by Milan's Ultras 'touched the heart' of President Silvio Berlusconi.
After having revealed his opposing views to Coach Vincenzo Montella on team tactics, the 80-year-old moved on to talk about young goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his faith in fielding young players.
"Donnarumma? He’s a fruit of our youth team, to the credit our very capable coaches. He put on a lot of muscle mass and I was pleased that he got into the national team.
"Behind him, though, there is another goalkeeper that the Coaches said to me is just as good and this means that you have to believe in the youth system.
"If I will not be able to conclude a deal with these Chinese partners, I have in mind a project of creating an entire team made up of young Italians, preferably who have emerged from our youth team.
"The fans would accept a choice like that and would support these guys who would go to the pitch with a hunger for the game and for the ball. This success can allow such youth teams to be able to overcome even the most notable opponents."
What about the future of Vice-President Adriano Galliani after the Chinese takeover?
"I hope that there is room for him. I'll try to allow this condition."
"We have precise assurances from the banks that the deal will be closed on December 13th. If this does not happen, we'll see. But I think they gave us valid assurances."
How did Berlusconi feel when the Milan Ultras unveiled the choreography that was dedicated to his tenure at the club?
"It was very emotional. I was so impressed, they worked on it for almost three months and it touched my heart.
"I accepted the decision to sell with much pain, because in football money has arrived resulting from gas, oil or situations in other countries, such as [Roman] Abramovich from Russia.”
