“Milan must return to being a team in the semi-final and Final of the Champions League, but also with balanced books. We’ve booked an appointment with Mr Bee for September 30 and I have positive information from the banks.”

There was a setback this week, as Milan’s plan to build a new stadium was abandoned following clashes with the local authorities and company that owns the land.

The project had been pushed forward by Berlusconi’s daughter, and joint CEO of Milan, Barbara Berlusconi.

“Barbara was upset, but she understood the reasoning. I am in love with San Siro, we are improving the stadium to host the Champions League Final and personally I am happy that Milan will remain at San Siro.”
