Inter legend Beppe Bergomi doesn't know if the win over Torino “will be enough” to save Coach Frank de Boer.

The former defender was under pressure going into the match, and though the Nerazzurri emerged with a win, he could still be dismissed.

“I don’t know whether this statement will be enough to save the Dutchman’s bench,” Bergomi warned, speaking to Sky.

“What’s certain is that I saw a good performance by the Nerazzurri, and certain things don’t happen by chance.

“I saw a quality midfield, with a serious performance from [Ever] Banega. Inter deserved to win and played a good game.”

Bergomi also had qualified praise for captain Mauro Icardi, who struck twice.

“He didn’t start this game well, he was just bad. The lad has incredible mental strength though and, taking confidence from the lucky first goal, he came up with a masterpiece for 2-1.”
