New Torino signing Alejandro Berenguer confirms Napoli “made a first offer to take me” but then “I didn’t hear from them”.
The Partenopei had agreed a deal to sign the winger, but they couldn’t find a deal with Osasuna and the Granata beat them to his signature.
“Torino is a great club, with great history,” Berenguer said at his presentation today.

“I asked for information from [Salvatore] Sirigu and I’m glad I came here.
“Napoli? They made a first offer to take me, but then I didn’t here from them anymore. Meanwhile this better offer from Torino arrived and I accepted it.
“I’m here at Torino because I knew I’d have more opportunities to play. As well as Napoli, Athletic Club and Spartak Moscow also wanted me.
“My strengths? I’m good at dribbling one-on-one and I’m fast.”
