Domenico Berardi warns Sassuolo that his change of shirt to Number 10 does not necessarily mean he will stay. ‘There’s the transfer market, we’ll see…’

The Italy international has spent his entire career with the Neroverdi and looked to commit his future to the club with a surprise decision this week, moving to the Number 10 shirt.

However, his comments to Sky Sport Italia suggest the situation is not quite so clear-cut.

“I decided to change shirt, then there’s the transfer market, we’ll see…”

Sassuolo have already sold Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham United and director of sport Giovanni Carnevali confirmed today that they are considering a proposal from Napoli for Giacomo Raspadori.

Berardi has been linked with numerous other clubs this summer, including Milan, Juventus, Inter and Fiorentina.

He turns 28 next month and last season contributed 15 goals and 17 assists in 33 Serie A appearances.

The winger is under contract until June 2024 and has been valued at a minimum of €40m.
