Sassuolo will be without striker Domenico Berardi for ‘several weeks’ the club has confirmed.
The Italian Under-21 international went off injured in last night’s 2-1 win over Napoli, and had a scan today.
“The findings showed a trauma to the quadriceps femurs in the right thigh, the severity of which will be better established in the coming days,” the Neroverdi confirmed on their official website.

“It’s expected the injury will keep him [Berardi] out for several weeks.”
Berardi has 42 goals in his 98 Serie A and Serie B appearances for Sassuolo, and Juventus are believed to have retained a buyback option having sold him outright to the Neroverdi this summer.
