Domenico Berardi broke an impressive career milestone in Sassuolo’s 4-1 win over Spezia this evening, where he netted a brace.

The 27-year-old Italian winger scored his 99th and 100th Serie A goals in the confident win earlier tonight, an incredible achievement considering that all of them came playing on Sassuolo’s right wing.

Berardi was a regular feature in Roberto Mancini’s Azzurri squad last summer during the successful Euro 2020 run and he’s again been called up for the upcoming World Cup play-offs, a sign of the Italy coach’s continued trust in him.

The Italian winger has scored 119 goals in 319 appearances across all competitions for Sassuolo, being their talismanic figure on the right wing. He is having an incredibly strong season under Alessio Dionisi, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists in 27 league games.

Contracted to the Neroverdi until 2024, it’s likely that a number of top clubs around Europe will be interested in picking up Berardi in the summer.

  1. 7 axxists only? But other sites says he have 10 or 11 axxists. :S So, if not Berardi then Milinkovi-Savic and Barella are best axxist makers til now.
