Domenico Berardi has been handed a fine after he acted aggressively towards a Modena fan following Sassuolo’s Coppa Italia loss back in August.

The 28-year-old Italian forward scored in the match but it wasn’t enough as the Neroverdi suffered a frustrating 3-2 loss to Modena in the first round of the Coppa Italia this season. After the match, Berardi was seen chasing after a Modena fan who had insulted the player and his family, being held back by another fan and some security personnel.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Berardi entered a plea agreement and agreed to a €3000 fine, which’ll be donated to the Polivalente San Vito A.S.D.R.C E. T.S association, following his behaviour.

The Sassuolo star violated Article 4 Paragraph 1 of the Sports Justice Code after he chased and acted aggressively toward the Modena fan in the square in front of the Stadio Alberto Braglia.
