Eusebio Di Francesco warned Domenico Berardi’s disciplinary record “is becoming a problem” for Sassuolo.
The Neroverdi were beaten 2-1 in stoppages by Genoa, but saw star forward Berardi sent off for an ugly reaction foul on Cristian Ansaldi.
Diego Perotti was somewhat harshly also red carded for his angry response to Berardi, leaving both teams down to 10 men before half-time.

“Perhaps we made a mistake at the end, celebrating the draw so much that we thought the game was over. It’s a shame for so many things we did wrong today, including the red card,” Di Francesco Told Rai Sport.
“We conceded an absurd goal at the 95th minute. At least we are in a good position in the table still, so there’s no need to panic.
“I will have a word with Berardi, because this is not the first time it has happened. If someone gets sent off or suspended regularly, it’s becoming a problem.”
Berardi is perhaps the brightest young talent in Italian football and is already ‘booked’ by Juventus for next season.
However, he has always had a fiery temper that only just has a lid kept on it.
Over two Serie A seasons plus the current campaign, Berardi has scored 33 goals in 71 games, also receiving three straight red cards and 27 bookings.
