Domenico Berardi has become the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to pick up double figures in both goals and assists this season.

The 27-year-old Italian winger has scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists in Serie A so far this season, being one of the most exciting and dangerous players in the league. He was a core part of Roberto Mancini’s Azzurri squad during Euro 2020 last summer and with Federico Chiesa injured, he’ll undoubtedly play an important role in the 2022 World Cup play-offs.

Berardi’s 10 goals and 12 assists make him the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to pick up double figures in both categories, a sign of his attacking importance for Sassuolo.

At the time that the Sassuolo forward achieve the feat, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah had scored 17 goals and provided nine assists, Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema had scored 18 goals and provided nine assists and Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller had scored seven goals and provided 16 assists.
