Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has reacted to Aurelio De Laurentiis’ ‘old’ jibe by calling the Napoli President a ‘nutter’.
De Laurentiis asserted Napoli would not try to sign Benzema on the grounds that he was an ‘old man’, and the Frenchman did not take the insult lying down.
“Another nutter on the list! No 9s make him lose it,” he wrote on Instagram.

The 31-year-old may have been referring to the Partenopei’s high turnover of centre-forwards, with none of Fabio Quagliarella, Edinson Cavani and Gonzalo Higuain staying for longer than three seasons.
