Inter had hoped to return for Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento this summer but seem set to fall behind Chelsea in the race, transfer expert Matteo Moretto highlights.

The 24-year-old Brazilian shot stopper has continued to impress at club level and recently earnt his debut for the Selecao, playing the full 90 minutes of their friendlies against England and Spain ahead of this summer’s Copa America.

Inter tried to snap up Bento last summer and had agreed personal terms with the goalkeeper, but couldn’t manage to set up a deal with Athletico Paranaense, forcing them to plan a return for this summer.

Transfer market expert Matteo Moretto provided an update on Inter’s fight for Bento via Caught Offside.

The 24-year-old’s impressive work this season has seen his market value continue to rise, putting him out of the Nerazzurri’s reach economically as several Premier League clubs circle ahead of the summer. Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the talented Brazilian shot stopper.
