Ismael Bennacer picked up a muscular injury against Red Star and will miss Sunday’s derby clash against Inter.
The 23-year-old limped off with a muscular problem after 39 minutes, making way for Sandro Tonali.
“The worst aspect of the night is losing Ismael Bennacer to a relapse,” Milan coach Stefano Pioli said after the game.

“The worst aspect of the night is losing Ismael Bennacer to a relapse,” Milan coach Stefano Pioli said after the game.
Bennacer will therefore miss Milan’s derby clash against Inter on Sunday, according to several reports in Italy.
The Algeria international had remained on the sidelines for 11 games between December and January due to a biceps femoris muscle injury and missed Milan’s home victory against Crotone on February 7 due to a fever.
He started in Milan’s 2-0 defeat away at Spezia last week-end and in yesterday’s Europa League clash against Red Star, but his game didn’t last long and the Rossoneri will be forced to do without him against the Nerazzurri.
Milan are just one point off Serie A leaders Inter ahead of Sunday's showdown.
