Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer is expected to remain out of action for nearly three months after sustaining an injury, but Gazzetta claims that the Rossoneri won’t make a new signing and will instead rely on Silvano Vos, Kevin Zeroli, and Mattia Liberali to boost midfield options.

Milan midfielder Bennacer has suffered a severe muscle injury that will rule him out until the end of November, but the Rossoneri won’t replace the Algeria international with a free signing. The summer transfer window is closed, but any club can still sign free agents, including Adrien Rabiot.

Bennacer’s injury means that Paulo Fonseca is now short of options in the middle of the park, with only Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Youssouf Fofana, Tijjani Reijnders and Yunus Musah available for selection.

Milan will play six matches in 22 days before the October break, so the Portuguese coach must boost his options in central midfield to provide the necessary rotation.

According to Gazzetta, summer signing Vos will be promoted to the first team. The 19-year-old, a former Ajax midfielder, has already debuted with Milan Futuro.

Furthermore, Fonseca will likely call up two promising players for Rossoneri’s first team in the coming weeks.

They are 19-year-old central midfielder Zeroli, who has already made four senior appearances, and Liberali, a 17-year-old attacking midfielder who took part in the pre-season with the Rossoneri but has yet to make his senior debut in a competitive match.
