Ismael Bennacer admits he doesn’t know if he could replicate the stunning volley that allowed Milan to beat Bologna. ‘I might hit that 10 times and only score once!’

Serie A | Bologna 2-4 Milan: Nine-man Rossoblu scare Zlatan

The Rossoneri were being pegged back 2-2 by nine-man Bologna until the 84th minute, when Bennacer hit a sensational volley from the edge of the area.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic then added another on Bennacer’s assist in stoppages for the 4-2 result.

“I might hit that 10 times and only score once! I just didn’t think, I hit it well and it’s a goal that matters, so I am happy,” Bennacer told DAZN.

“You need to be well-balanced and let the foot go smoothly. That’s the only way I can explain it.”

It’s a victory, but Milan fumbled a 2-0 lead against at the time 10-man Bologna, conceding twice in just three minutes.

“We took a while to get into it after the break, then there was another red card. Bologna are a good team, fortunately for us they were down to nine, but the important thing was to win.

“Those two goals were avoidable and we mustn’t make those mistakes again next time.”

After the comeback win over Hellas Verona, which they had been trailing 2-0, Milan again prove they fight their way through difficulties to the last minute.

“We work together, we don’t want to lose or even draw, we always want to win and always go for it.”
