Milan will soon sit down with Ismael Bennacer and his entourage to discuss a new contract and the Algerian midfielder has reportedly made his requests clear.

The 24-year-old dropped his previous agent Moussa Sissoko, who was pushing him to join a different club in the summer, and hired Enzo Raiola to represent his interests in the new talks with the Rossoneri. Bennacer is keen to stay with Milan but would like them to raise their offer a little.

As reported by TMW, Milan’s recent contract offer to Bennacer was worth around €3m net per season but the 24-year-old has asked for a similar salary to that earned by his teammate Theo Hernandez, which is around €4m net per season plus add-ons.

The Algerian midfielder is happy in the Lombardy capital and willing to pen a new deal but further talks will be needed to reach an agreement, which will likely extend his deal to 2027.

  1. He’s worth it. 3.5 plus bonuses to reach 4 would be good deal for both sides imo. Though he could definitely earn more in the Premier League.
