The current Dalian Professional coach spent two seasons with the Partenopei between 2013 and 2015, where he helped the Azzurri win the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana.

The 60-year-old spent six months in 2010 at Inter too, when he succeeded Jose Mourinho at the helm after the famous Treble season.

“Inter and Napoli were two periods that enrichened me, but tonight I support the Azzurri,” Benitez told Sky Sport Italia.

The Spanish coach believes Antonio Conte’s second-placed Inter have ‘more pressure’ than Gennaro Gattuso’s third-placed Napoli ahead of the big clash.

“There’s certainly more pressure on the Nerazzurri. They would like to win this season, as it seems Juventus have slowed down.

“When I was at Napoli, we managed to win the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana against the Bianconeri, who were intractable at that time.

“At Inter, however, I stayed for a short amount of time. They were coming from the Treble season and I wasn’t allowed to extend that adventure despite having the Supercoppa Italiana and the Club World Cup.”
