The Blancos Coach was interviewed during the Spanish TV broadcasts COPE and Ser, and he went back on the signing of Kovacic to Real.
“I knew enough about him,” he said. “I already wanted to sign him for Napoli. He’s a player with a great future.
“About that comment on Hamsik being better than Bale, I did say that.

“Higuain? He's a phenomenon, I'll always wish him the best.”
Finally, Benitez added a quip on the subject of banning mobile phones in the team.
“At Inter, players even went to the toilets with their mobile phones, I could see the lights. It's impossible to ban something like that.”
