The Spaniard’s contract is expiring at the end of the season, and it was widely reported that the former Liverpool manager met with the club President to discuss a new deal yesterday.
However, speaking to Radio Crc, the tactician’s agent has issued a clear denial of those rumours.

“We’ll work until the last minute to see if there’s a chance to renew with Napoli,” Manuel Garcia Quilon assured.
“I can however say that it’s a lie that Benitez met with De Laurentiis yesterday.”
