Benfica are reportedly pushing to make a deal with Sassuolo to bring Gianluca Scamacca to Lisbon.

The 21-year-old attacker has been targeted by the Portuguese giant and Calciomercato.it claims that they are closing in on a deal worth €25m for the Neroverdi.

Scamacca is currently on loan at Ascoli and has scored 10 goals in 17 games across all competitions so far this campaign and has helped the club to sit seventh in the League after 19 games.

The striker has also scored three goals in five appearances with the Azzurrini and moved to Sassuolo from PSV in January 2017.

He has only played three times for the Neroverdi and the 21-year-old was part of the Italy squad who reached the Under-20 World Cup semi-finals last summer.
