Benevento enter a retreat to prepare for the crucial final game against Torino, but it will be all over if the Granata don’t lose to Lazio tonight.
President Oreste Vigorito wants his men to give one last push to finish outside the relegation zone, as they face Torino in a direct clash on May 23.
But Davide Nicola’s men can secure safety against the Biancocelesti tonight, as they have one game in hand and currently sit three points above the Streghe.
But Vigorito has ordered his team in a retreat to fully focus on the last match of the campaign and spoke to Il Corriere dello Sport about the upcoming days.
“Let’s see what happens in Rome, but if we were to go there to play for safety in Turing, the players must look me in the eye and tell me if they feel like playing this game,” he said.
“If there’s someone who wants to stay at home, tell me, we will not take them with us.”
